From the committee

Welcome to our Village Hall website which has been “live” now for over four years. We sincerely  hope that you find the layout and contents both interesting and easy to navigate. Please do let us know your thoughts along with any ideas you may have for improvement. Over the previous months we’ve continued to update and develop the site however, your feedback  continues to be important to us and you can communicate  this by visiting the contact page.

The hall is a Charitable Incorporated Organisation ( C.I.O.) registration number 1171326. and is a member of ACRK ( Action with Communities in Rural Kent). We’re responsible directly to the Charity Commission and the facility is run by a group of management trustees. We’re also extremely grateful for the invaluable support we enjoy from several local  volunteers.  At the A.G.M. the management committee  elect a  Chair, Deputy chair, Treasurer, Bookings secretary  and General Secretary for the forthcoming year. The  committee meet monthly to conduct the affairs and smooth running of the facility as well as  plan fundraising events and progress grant applications;  to help finance our  aggressive refurbishment and extension plans. Four  years ago we celebrated our golden anniversary – 50 years of unswerving service to the community. Our shared vision is to “future proof” the sustainability of the building to enable another   50 years of service. Currently we are evaluating the pros and cons of a new heating system. This is likely to be installed  in time  for winter 2024.

Following the lifting of  COVID 19 restrictions!  the hall is now available for use by ALL  our usual groups and we have become increasingly busy.
